Question 1

How do I book an appointment?

Accepted Answer

Search by treatment or city, pick a studio, choose a service, time and team member, then confirm. You get an instant confirmation by email and a reminder before the visit.

Question 2

Can I reschedule or cancel myself?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every confirmation contains a manage link, and signed-in clients can reschedule from their bookings page up to 24 hours before the appointment, subject to the studio's policy.

Question 3

Do I need an account to book?

Accepted Answer

No. Guest booking works with just an email and phone number. Creating an account keeps your history, favourites and loyalty points in one place.

Question 4

Why was I asked for a deposit?

Accepted Answer

Studios can require a deposit on higher-value or long treatments. It is deducted from the final bill and refunded according to that studio's cancellation window.

Question 5

How do gift cards work?

Accepted Answer

Gift cards hold a balance that can be spent across visits at the issuing business. Apply the code at checkout and any remaining balance stays on the card until it is used or expires.

Question 6

What is included in a membership?

Accepted Answer

Memberships are set by each studio, typically a monthly fee for included treatments, member pricing and priority booking. You can see exactly what is included before you join.

Question 7

Can I get a refund on a gift card?

Accepted Answer

Gift cards are not refundable for cash, but unused balances remain available until the expiry shown on the card. Full terms are on the gift card terms page.

Question 8

How long does it take to switch to Cover Beauty?

Accepted Answer

Most single-site studios are live within a day. Guided migration of clients, services and future appointments is included on every plan, so you keep your history when you move.

Question 9

What does Cover Beauty cost?

Accepted Answer

Plans start free for solo professionals, with per-location pricing for teams. Card processing is charged per transaction with no monthly minimum and no setup or exit fees.

Question 10

When do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

Card takings settle to your bank with same-day payouts on UK accounts. Every payout is reconciled against appointments, retail sales and gift card redemptions in the finance dashboard.

Question 11

Does Cover Beauty work across multiple locations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Rotas, stock, memberships and reporting are all per-location with a group-level view, so a client's gift card or membership works at every site you run.

Question 12

Who owns the client data?

Accepted Answer

You do. Client records, notes and history can be exported at any time in a standard format, and GDPR export and deletion requests are handled from the dashboard.
